Webinar: Facts and Myths about RDoC

Register for the upcoming RDoC webinar, focused on FAQs about the initiative

Science Update

In October, the Research Domain Criteria (RDoC) Unit is hosting a webinar to answer the most frequently asked questions about the RDoC initiative. RDoC, which aims to reframe mental health from research to treatment, cuts across traditional diagnostic categories to identify relationships among observable behavior, neurobiological measures, and patient self-report of mental status.

Facts and Myths about RDoC

October 13, 2015, 1:30 – 2:30 PM EDT

This webinar, which is geared towards researchers, is free, but space is limited and registration is required. The purpose of the webinar is to clarify the goals behind RDoC and correct common misperceptions about it. It will present both the perspectives of RDoC Unit members and well-known researchers in the field that have used RDoC.

About the Speakers

RDoC Unit Members Dr. Bruce Cuthbert, Dr. Sarah Morris and Dr. Uma Vaidyanathan will present and facilitate. They will be joined by four distinguished panelists, who are experts on a variety of mental disorders, including Dr. Ian Gotlib, Dr. Joan Kaufman, Dr. Vilma Gabbay, and Dr. Brandon Gibb.

For comments or questions about the webinar, contact the NIMH RDoC Unit via email at RDoCAdmin@mail.nih.gov. You can also follow RDoC @NIMH_RDoC  on Twitter and share your RDoC-related research with the unit by using #RDoC. Learn more about RDoC on the NIMH website.
